According to official statistics for June 2018, the number of Japanese travelers increased by 40.2% to 235,300 for South Korea and by 7.9% to 93,700 for Hong Kong, but reduced by 5.5% to 134,100 for Taiwan on a year-on-year basis. Japanese travelers for South Korea increased by 40% for two months in a row, and the first year-on-year reduction for Taiwan was found in the past four months.
