NTA, one of the Japan’s leading travel agents, aims to commercialize ‘space travel for everyone’ in tie-ups with a space industry startup

Nippon Travel Agency (NTA) and Innovative Space Carrier (ISC) signed a business partnership agreement for ‘space travel business for everyone.’  They aim to commercialize the business in 2030s.

NTA launched a department specializing in space business in 2020. While promoting space business in the fields of regional revitalization and education, the company aims to develop safe, secure, and comfortable travel products to outer space.

ISC is a startup company selected for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) Phase 3 project. With the theme of "Making space transportation part of everyday life," the company is working on developing a rocket to launch artificial satellites in March 2028.

They plan to collaborate by exhibiting at exhibitions, conducting needs surveys regarding space travel, and considering commercialization of space travel. At Tourism EXPO Japan 2024, NTA exhibited a mockup of a 50-seater reusable rocket imaged by ISC.
