ANA Sales has launched ‘ANA VIRTUAL TRIP,’ a new VR (Virtual Reality) service for non-travelers to share travelers’ experiences. A traveler takes pictures with a smart phone equipped with a 360 degrees camera every three minutes, and a non-traveler "VR companion" enjoys these pictures automatically uploaded on a server. A traveler and a VR companion can communicate together using a video calling service.
For this new service supported by the VR technology company Nurve, ANA Sales lends a RICOH THETA digital camera to each traveler and a VR headset "CREWL" by Nurve to each VR companion.
