The latest Skyscanner’s survey on travel by Japanese Generation Z shows that they are aware of ‘time performance’ to save time for effectiveness in planning a travel.
According to the survey results, 42% said that they have decided a destination after seeing postings on SNS, and the ratio is higher than 38% of chats with family members or friends.
Among 316 respondents who already traveled or have a plan to travel in 2024, 25% said that they have experiences to buy air tickets one week before departures. Also, 26% said that they have planned a travel one week before departures.
The results represent Japanese Generation Z’s tendency to move fast right after finding an attractive destination on SNS.
Regarding what they want to do in a destination, the top is ‘taking pictures that can only be taken there (40%),’ followed by ‘relaxing (37%) and ‘activities (28%).’
