Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) reported that the number of Japanese overseas travelers was up 7.7% year on year, reaching 2,033,400 in August 2018 (preliminary figures). The outbound travel market saw monthly growths after February, and the total for the first eight months of 2018 reached 12,374,800 (+4.9%).
