
Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) announced that the number of Japanese overseas travelers was down 98.1% year on year to 31,000 in October 2020, plunging from 1.66 million a year ago.
According to OAG, an aviation date provider, international flight departures from six major airports in Japan (Narita, Haneda, Kansai, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Sapporo) were down 86.3% to 2,929 in October, and available seats were also down 85.7% to 663,615, which were almost unchanged from September.
