JAL Group LCC ZIPAIR Tokyo has begun operating zero CO2 flights on the Narita-Honolulu route on April 1 2023. ZIPAIR said that it is the world-first zero CO2 operation through a year on a particular route.
ZIPAIR President Shingo Nishida said at a opening ceremony, “CO2 emission is a crucial challenge in the aviation industry, With CO2 off-set programs and use of SAF, we would like to expand zero CO2 flights from the Honolulu service.”
