80% of Japanese people are proactive about getting loyalty points in daily shopping

The latest NTT Docomo survey on loyalty point services finds that 80.1% of 15 to 79 years old Japanese people are proactive about getting loyalty points in daily shopping. 46.3% said that they are aware of getting or using loyalty points in shopping at supermarkets or convenience stores. 

44.8% said that they try to use stores or sites that they can get points if they purchase the same goods. 43.4% said that they pay by cashless rather than cash because they can get points. 

Among point collectors, 87.1% said that it is ideal for them to accumulate points without realizing and without any efforts. 

Activities to get and use points are related to sentiment to save money, as 84.3% said that they want to save money by using points because prices are rising, and 70.4% said that they spend the accumulated points for daily necessities or communication fees.

Also, 78% said that they are aware of an economic zone covering loyalty points they get or use.
