The latest Hotels.con survey on hotel selection in 10 countries finds that 81% of Japanese respondents like process of selecting and booking a hotel, and the ratio is the second highest following Mexico (87%).
On the contrary, only 39% said that they want to enjoy staying in a hotel without self-selection or booking. The ratio is the second lowest following U.K. (34%).
The top activity Japanese travelers spend time in booking a hotel is ‘selection of a hotel (45%), followed by ‘selection of a location (37%),’ ‘selection of a room type (33%)’ and ‘checking reviews (30%).’
The survey results also finds that Japanese travelers choose a booking hotel among 7.5 choices on the average, which are the least numbers in the world, almost half of 13.4 choices in Norway.
Also, 80% of Japanese travelers answered that they consider budget when they book a hotel.
