Ibaraki Prefecture and Hong Kong-based experience booking platform Klook signed MOU to work together for inbound travel promotions. This is the first partnership with foreign-based OTA for Ibaraki and with a local government in Japan for Klook.
Ibaraki and Klook are working together in building a platform for Ibaraki, promoting DX for tourism contents in Ibaraki and developing promotions to invite inbound tourists. In this coming April, Klook will organize a seminar to teach how to use OTA to local tourism operators.
Kazuhiko Oigawa, Ibaraki Governor, said, “If we can sell Japanese unique landscapes in Ibaraki to inbound tourists, it will be very significant for Ibaraki’s economy.”
