Japan Railway East will operate a special remote-work train car on the Tohoku Shinkansen line for business travelers, demonstrating whether or not the new service can be accepted during two separate periods between February 1 and 12 and February 15 and 16 2021.
A designated train car allows a passenger to use mobile phone in the demonstration, though a passenger is usually asked to refrain voluntarily from using mobile phone inside a car. The new service can be experienced without additional charge, but users are asked to answer survey questions.
