JTB has decided to invest to Tablecross, an operator of one-stop food platform ‘byFood.com' for international travelers to Japan, in order to promote gastronomy tourism. Tablecross deals with influencer marketing, social media marketing, restaurant booking and cross-border EC of Japanese foods.
JTB intends to create synergy effects between the Tablecross services and JTB’s expertises in travel. Also, JTB expects Japanese foods as a customer touchpoint and plans to sell food experience tours available on ‘byFood.com' on the JTB’s sales network in the future.
