Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) reported that Japanese overseas travelers in August 2016 were up 10.4% year on year to 1,825,000, the first over 1.8 million a month since August 2013. Also, the growth rate of 10% or higher was found for the first time in the past four years and two months since June 2012. The total for the first eight months of 2016 was up 5.5% to 11,172,600, already 580,000 more than a year earlier.
