Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) announced that the number of Japanese overseas travelers tripled year on year to 30,700 in June 2021. The monthly result, however, was still down 98% compared to two years ago (1,520,993 travelers).
International flights departing from six major airports in Japan were 2,426, 7.0% fewer flights than a year ago, and available seats were up 4.5% to 590,234, according to OAG.
