
Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) announced that the number of Japanese overseas travelers was down 98.2% year on year to 31,600 in September 2020, plunging from 1.75 million a year ago.
According to OAG, an aviation date provider, international flight departures from six major airports in Japan (Narita, Haneda, Kansai, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Sapporo) were down 87.4% to 2,700 in September and available seats were also down 87.7% to 609,762, which were almost unchanged from August.
