JR East, a railway company, will serve ‘Suica Smart Lock’ in December this year. It is a new service to use Suica, JE East NFC card for payment, as an entrance key for a hotel or an office by linking Art Japan’s cloud-typed entrance management system ‘ALLIGATE’ and JR East Mechatronics’ ID matching system ‘ID-PORT) with Suica.
A user can use Suica as a digital key after registering ID number on Suica or Mobile Suica. The service will be available for a visitor in the limited period through a guest reservation function in advance.
