JTB reduced domestic travel sales by 11.5% year on year to 31.8 billion JPY in September 2021 amid declaration of a state of emergency. The monthly result was down 61.8% compared to two years ago.
Sales of domestic group travels were up 114.3% (down 24.1% over two years ago), out of which sales of general group travels were up 266.6% (down 6.6% over two years ago), but sales of educational group travels were down 74.9% (down 82.5% over two years ago).
Sales of domestic individual tours were down 66.3% (down 85.7% over two years ago), which were worse than the previous month. Sales of package tour ‘Ace JTB’ and ‘MySTYLE’ were down 63.8% (down 84% over two years ago), and customers for the tours were down 66.9% (down 84.5% over two years ago).
Sales of overseas travels were up 131.7% year on year to 1.2 billion JPY (down 97.6% over two years ago), and sales of international travels up 685.4% to 3.1 billion JPY (down68.1% over two years ago).
