Okinawa Prefecture and Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau (OCVB) have started promotion activities to sell Okinawa to Japanese overseas travel lovers as an alternative destination to overseas travel with a theme of ‘Meet the world in Okinawa.’
They proposes new travels in Okinawa in four categories of ‘America,’ ‘Hawaii,’ ‘Asia’ and ‘Ryukyu (old Okinawa),’ appealing Okinawa’s unique history and nature, foreign-influenced culture and lifestyle and so forth.
On a special website, they are developing a quiz campaign to present Okinawa local foods to perfect scorers.
