The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO)’s statistics for February 2020 finds that Japan received 73,400 from U.S. (-20.8% year on year), 48,500 from Australia (+1.8%) and 18,600 visitors from U.K. (-21.0%). Although the Australian government raised the travel warning for Japan on February 23 due to spread of the novel coronavirus, visitors from Australia were record-high for February.
