Air Japan, a new ANA group brand, has decided to start a ‘hybrid’ airline business with launch of six flights a week between Narita and Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) on February 9 2024. The Boeing 787-8 with all 324 economy class seats will be used.
Air Japan will offer three different airfare plans: ‘Simple’ from 15,500 JPY one way without paid optional services, ‘Standard’ from 19,200 JPY one way with options of advance seat assignment (up to 1,500 JPY) and checked-in baggage (up to 23kg for 1 piece) and ‘Selected’ from 23,800 JPY with options of advance seat assignment (up to 3,000 JPY) and checked-in baggage (up to 23kg for 2 pieces) and in-flight meals.
As a hybrid airline between full service carrier and LCC, Air Japan plans to focus on different markets from ANA or Peach Aviation, particularly targeting inbound travelers to Japan from Southeast Asia or maybe Australia.
