Autumn leaves in Japan are forecasted to start from Daisetsuzan Asahidake, Hokkaido in the middle of September

WeatherNews has forecasted that autumn leaves this year are expected to be at their average peak in many places. In parts of Tohoku and eastern Japan, however, there will be more cloudy and rainy days from late September to early October, which will make radiation cooling less effective and delay the peak viewing period. They said that vibrant autumn leaves can be expected nationwide.

According to the first autumn leaves forecast, the peak will come in  Daisetsuzan Asahidake, Hokkaido around September 14, and in high mountain areas in eastern Japan, like Japan Alpine, autumn leaves will begin in late September. 

The forecasted peak in the famous autumn leaves spots as of September 5 are as follows: around October 25 in Onuma Park, Hokkaido, around October 14 in Iroha-zaka, Tochigi, around November 18 in Takao, Tokyo, around November 23 in Arashiyama, Kyoto, and around November 16 in Miyazima, Hiroshima.
