Digital tourism PR booth is set up at Kansai International Airport to lure international tourists to visit local areas

A digital tourism PR booth was set up at Kansai International Airport on October 11 2024 to encourage international tourists to visit local areas in western Japan before Osaka Kansai EXPO opens in April 2025.

At the booth, you can enjoy ‘Dig the LOCAL in KANSAI,’ a Kansai area digital map to appeal tourism contents in Osaka, Kyoto and other eight prefectures and ‘Vibro-scape,’ mixed experiences of video, voice and a sense of touch, developed by NTT.

Vibro-scape allows users to experience a pseudo-tourism experience that makes them feel as if they are actually in that place by experiencing the scenery through the monitor and the associated vibrations.
