LINE, the biggest communication app in Japan, and Fukuchiyama City of Kyoto have agreed for the Japan’s first ‘LINE Partnership City’ for sustainable city development and welfare improvement. The partnership contains tourism promotion, cashless payment promotion, child-raising supports, disaster prevention, effective pubic services and welfare improvement.
As one of the efforts, an AI-based LINE official account for tourism will jointly developed and is expected to be released in December 2019. The new tool will deliver information on a local historical hero, Mitsuhide Akechi, for local tourism promotion, and another local cities related to the hero will probably join the new LINE tool.
