Klook, a Hong Kong-based local experience booking platform, raised funds of $100 million, led by international investment company ‘Vitruvian Partner,’ in order to expand partnership with Google Cloud in the AI development for improvement of customer experiences, business operations and productivity.
In addition, Klook plans to contribute to local communities in APAC in cooperation with local tourism authorities, particularly focusing on digital transformation in the tourism industry. Klook has recently agreed with the tourism ministry of Philippines to help them accelerate digital transformation to market authentic local experiences.
Celebrating the 10th anniversary in 2024, Ethan Lin, Klook Co-founder and CEO, said, “Asia continues being a center of international tourism. We keep providing bigger values to next generation travelers who emphasize local experiences.”
