JAL has launched ‘JAL Innovation Lab,’ an open innovation activity base in order to create new valued added services by using knowledge inside or outside of JAL. Working together with 100 or more partners and combining human resources with technologies, JAL is trying to create unprecedented services.
The lab with a floor of about 500 square meters consists of an area to generate ideas, an area with 3D printers to create prototypes and an airport- or cabin-like area to examine prototypes for a seamless process from invention to examination.
