Japan Tourism Agency has improved the disaster information app ‘Safety tips’ for international visitors by adding seven new functions including hospital information, shelter information and emergency calls. Also, the existing functions have been enhanced by setting a language selection function and visualizing relevance between a disaster spot and a present location.
The screen is more simplified, and more illustrations are used for higher visibility.
The app is developed for international visitors to travel safely in Japan with a lot of natural disasters, pushing earthquake early warning and tsunami warning and providing flow chart for evacuation and communication cards in five different languages.
