Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) announced that Japanese overseas travelers in July 2016 increased by 8.9% year on year to 1,427,000, which brought the total for the first seven months of 2016 to 9,338,800 (+4.5%). In 2016, Japanese overseas travelers resulted in year-on-year growths every month except May (-2.3%).
