JTB, the leading travel agent of Japan, has signed a business tie-up agreement with the Singapore-based Agoda Service to enable users to book JTB’s inventories in Japan on agoda.com. Amid the growing inbound travel market of Japan, JTB and Agoda share an idea that both of the contents are effective to send international travelers to local regions.
The tie-up combins the agoda’s marketing power and the search function in APAC with the JTB’s consultation power and plentiful inventory. Planning to increase hotels or ryokans provided on agoda.com from around 4,500 in the beginning to 10,000 or more in the future, JTB aims to contribute to local revitalization in Japan by sending more international travelers to local regions.
