The joint research by RJC Research and Nightley finds that the most tweeted tourist spot in Japan was Mt. Fuji, followed by Universal Studio Japan and Tokyo Disneyland. The research was based on about 280,000 twitters on Twitter and Weibo by international visitors staying in Japan in the three months from October to December 2015.
Twitters by Chinese travelers held a majority in many tourist spots, and Scramble Crossing in Shibuya was tweeted by many different countries’ travelers. Mt. Fuji was more tweeted by pictures than by words.
