Outer garden of the Imperial Palace, the heart of Tokyo, is exclusively reserved as a premium event for the first time

Chiyoda City Tourism Association and Chiyoda Ward will organize a premium event ’Special experience in “The Heart” of Tokyo’ in Kokyo Gaien National Garden (outer garden of the Imperial Palace) for the first time on November 20 and 21 to deliver historical and cultural charms of Kokyo Gaien globally. The reserved venue includes The Kitanomaru Garden and the Former Imperial Guards Headquarters.

A full package tour contains Nodate (outdoor tea ceremony), a special exhibition displaying the rare ukiyo-e collection of the Mitani family, a unique culinary experience featuring dishes that express traditional Japanese culture through French culinary techniques. Price is 100,000 yen one person for a three hours tour.

The organizer said that they have received a lot of applications from outside of Japan, such as Taiwan, since they opened a booking window in October.

In addition to the event, the free optional events, including English-speaking guided tours, will be available for inbound travelers.
