Universal Studios Japan (USJ) and Ant Group signed a corporate marketing partnership contract to introduce Alipay+ payment service in the park. The partnership enables visitors to USJ to use Alipay+ for tickets and at shops or restaurants in the park.
USJ expects that the partnership will raise payment conveniences for visitors to Japan from Asia particularly and improve customer experiences by developing campaigns on Alipay+.
J.L. Bonnier, USJ CEO, commented that the theme-park is also seeking an opportunity to collaborate with Fliggy, Alibaba’s OTA, to encourage international travelers to visit not only USJ but also Japan, which may contribute to revitalization of the tourism industry in Japan.
