E-ticket booking platform Linktivity has begun selling QR code-based digital tickets of private railways in Kansai and Kanto areas through partnerships with more than 400 OTAs worldwide. The system helps railway companies expand sales channels and inbound travelers to Japan use railways in a seamless way from purchasing to boarding.
In Kansai area, the digital ticket pass has been sold as ‘Surutto Kansai Osaka Pass,’ which can be used for Osaka Metro, Osaka City Bus, Kintetsu, Keihan, Nankai, Hankyu, and Hanshin in Osaka City, and also it can be tickets for partner tourist attractions.
In Kanto area, it is available as all-you-can-ride ‘Greater Tokyo Pass,’ which can be used for 13 railways and Tokyo Metro Bus, such as Odakyu, Keio, Keisei, Keikyu, Yurikamome, Seibu, Tokyu, Tokyo Metro, Toei Subway and so forth.
