Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan decided on April 30 2016 to ease visa rules for Chinese travelers. A valid term of a multiple visa for business-purpose travelers or intellectuals will be extended from up to five years to up to ten years, and conditions for the visa will partially be eased.
Also, the ministry has decided to simplify application procedures for the first visa for graduates of 75 universities under control of the Chinese government within three years from their graduations.
Details and a particular beginning date for the new rules will be announced later.
