NEC, Klook and Maruwa Transportation will begin offering ‘Travel Light’ service combining pre-checkin of a hotel with baggage delivery from an airport to a hotel in November 2024.
It is one of the solution service against over-tourism, such as traffic jam or overcrowded public transportation, working together with Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau.
Travel Light allows a traveler to pre-check in a hotel and deliver baggages to a hotel at the same time at an airport. A traveler can enjoy sightseeing empty-handed right after arriving at an airport. Travel Light can be booked on the Klook platform.
Travel Light will be offered in Kansai area first particularly for Osaka Kansai Expo 2025 and be extended to Kyoto or Tokyo.
