Tourism EXPO Japan Promotion Office announced on September 26 that visitors to Tourism EXPO Japan 2018 for four days from September 20 to 23 totaled 207,000, about 15,000 more visitors than 191,577 for three days in the last year.
Visitors in the first two business days totaled 66,000. Business appointments were up 8% to record-high 7,450, as a renewed registration system helped match between buyers and sellers more precisely than before, according to the organizer. Exhibitors were up 10% to record-high 1,441 companies and organizations from 136 countries and regions.
Next year, the venue will move to INTEX OSAKA in Osaka City for four days between October 24 and 27 because Tokyo Big Sight is used for preparation for Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics in 2020.
