Japan Travel and Tourism Association, Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA) and Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) will co-host ‘Tourism EXPO Japan 2023 Osaka Kansai’ in Intex Osaka for four days from October 26 to 29. It will be the first EXPO in Osaka for the past four years. The organizers aim at 150,000 visitors in total (48,000 visitors for the first two business days, 102,000 visitors for the last two public days).
A main event theme is ‘Travel festival to meet the future,’ showcasing the future vision of the diversified tourism industry. In the venue, special exhibitions of ‘cruise,’ ‘adventure travel,’ ‘sports tourism,’ ‘academy’ and ‘tourism SDGs’ will be launched to create effective touch points with purpose-oriented visitors.
In addition, special spaces for ‘workcation,’ ‘stargazing tourism’ and ‘driving tourism’ as new travel styles will be ensured, and ‘Future for Kansai’ zone will be set up toward Osaka Kansai EXPO 2025.
A variety of forums and seminars will be offered with a theme of ‘rethinking tourism for the future.’ Also, the 6th Ministerial Round Table will be joined by 10 to 15 countries’ tourism ministers, UNWTO, WTTC, PATA or ATTA.
For symposiums, a variety of contents, such as, revitalization of international exchanges, Osaka Kansai EXPO, or adventure tourism will be discussed.
On the first day, a welcome reception will be held not only for networking but also as an opportunity to deliver tourism contents in Kansai to the world.
In parallel, ‘Visit Japan Travel & MICR Mart 2023’ by JNTO and ‘Travel Solution Fair’ by NIkkei will be held as always.
