Sado City in Niigata Prefecture has been trying to attract more Workation visitors by using ‘JRE Workation Pass’ offered by JR East railway company. In addition, Sado City is strengthening partnership with Myoko City in Niigata Prefecture to boost Workation demand in a wider area.
For companies traveling from outside of Niigata to Sado City and staying in Sado City and Myoko City as Workation or remote works, expenses on Shinkansen to Niigata City and accommodation will be discounted for the period from August 23 2024 to March 28 2025.
In addition, Sado City is proposing local tourism tours to Workation travelers to encourage them to stay longer.
